I’ve known Holly for years, and have had the pleasure of watching her meet, fall in love with and marry Keith, and then welcome their gorgeous daughter Jada into the family. I know there are a lot of cute kids out theere, but this is one really adorable baby girl, really truly.

Good friends….

In my “former life,” I worked at Worldwide Christian Schools/Comprenew Environmental, where I got to know David, as we waded through learning how to recreate & grow an electronics recycling company together. In that time I saw David get married…have a child, and now, bring another beautiful little girl into the world. Brandi’s arrival was a little scary, with some health issues, but she’s doing fantastic, and looks like a gorgeous, normal healthy baby.

It was my pleasure to be able to do Brandi’s first photos, and also some of this whole special brood.

Hata, I love ya!

Pilates, please

A few years ago I shot the wedding of a beautiful couple, Josh & Lisa Miller – what a fun couple, and a sweet wedding.

Lisa has recently decided to launch her own business as a personal pilates instructor, and asked me to help her get started by doing some shots for a website for her – so naturally, I obliged! I look forward to watching your business grow, Lisa!

Here’s a quick preview of a few shots of beautiful you and your beautiful assistant!

In a New York minute… – New York Wedding Photographer

Actually, in two days, and Long Island, but I thought it was a clever post title.

Matt (ok, Prewett) and Kim are both professors at CMU, and I met them through a FB post (I had photographed a student’s wedding). Our first meeting was casual, comfortable, and I knew I liked these two!

Their engagement session – remember the horse in the field & the hollowed out tv? Just my style – could not have asked for better – when a client allows me to be me, and it fits with them, it feels magical.

The wedding – despite a week of crazy, a bride with a broken toe (oh yes, she broke her toe two days before her wedding), and horrible rain the day before the wedding, when it came down to business, everything fell into place.

Bride: gorgeous. Ceremony: touching. Venue: Uh-Maze-Ing. Party: Off the wall fun – what a GREAT group of friends & family!

old school….new cool (new website)

Well not really that old…but the organization I used to work for, Worldwide Christian Schools, just launched their new website, designed by mindutopia, the company owned by my very good friend, Rudy Malmquist.

In 2009 I was fortunate enough to go to India on a trip with WWCS, for the purposes of collecting individual student photos for the program “Student Hope.” My goal was to provide WWCS with creative photos of children, rather than the standard photos typically found in sponsorship programs – children lined up against a wall looking sad and helpless. I wanted to show their beauty, their vitality, and to give dignity to them through their portraits. It was hard, fast, HOT work in the blazing Indian sun – trying to capture 150 children in the short span of two or three hours at each school, but it was also a time I will never forget.

Please check out these fabulous new websites:

www.wwcs.org
www.twoliveschanged.org

And…consider sponsoring a child yourself!

Emmie – 3 months

I met Emmie about three months ago for her newborn pictures – what a tiny little peanut she was. Well, that peanut is getting bigger (not a lot, but bigger) and cuter by the day.

I got to meet dad and her big brother today too – a whole family of cuteness.

Emmie – see you in 3 months!!! (next time, no surprises on the couch, ok?)

Hunderman Family

I first met Derek over 7 years ago on a project for work – he was our realtor, and ended up being on the board of the organization I worked for at the time, then this past winter had a chance meeting with Andrea – well, not really chance, as we have a very good mutual friend, and she organized a girl’s night!

Andrea was pregnant with baby #4, and decided newborn & whole family photos were the way to go. I finally got to meet all their sweet (and very well behaved!) children yesterday, and got my cuddle on with the new baby!

Here’s a little sneak peek of this gorgeous family!

Baby baby…..

Amy contacted me back in November to inquire about maternity/baby photos….but we had a little time to wait. She’s now a beautiful 33 weeks along, and I’m sure, quite eager to meet the baby!

I’m excited to watch this family grow – they already have such a lovely chemistry together – this baby will only be showered with love and attention!

Enjoy these last few weeks of sleep! 😉

Bonnie – Avantgarde

Yesterday was Bonnie’s day for head shots, to update the Avantgarde website & other materials – and what fun it was to have her there and see a bit of her personality shine through.

By the way – check out these extensions – and the ability to continually change up her look! It’s one of their specialties, ladies!!!
