A quiet week….

A much needed week of quiet, with no sessions….just FOUR bridal inquiries. I didn’t think I wanted to do weddings, but I love the storytelling aspect of photography, and weddings are a great way to tell beautiful stories for families.

I am honored that I’m being considered to enter in to the lives of these couples, and thank each and every one of them for contacting me!

This week was also a great family week – my sister home from overseas, my dad’s 60th birthday, an early Thanksgiving….a lot of good things going on!

Hello Goodbye

My Sunday afternoon session was bittersweet, because I got to meet the newest member of the Ledbetter family, Shiloh, their darling 7 week old daughter…..but also was saying goodbye to some dear friends, Nate & Melissa.

Nate & Melissa are leaving this Friday for Atlanta, Georgia, to follow God’s call on their life, and to start working with www.sub-urban.org – check it out, pray for them, and if you feel moved, offer them your support!

Here are a few “parting shots” of the Ledbetter family (including Melissa’s sister, Sarah):

Holtrop Family

I met the Holtrop family (3 out of 5) on a trip to Nicaragua – so after spending a week in tight/dirty/waterless quarters, it was quite different to be taking their very clean, green, family pictures.

I love this photo of them – casual, comfortable, natural. Sure, they aren’t all looking at the camera….but it’s REAL!
