CA Frost

For Earth Day celebrations, I spent time for work www.comprenew.org teaching about electronics recycling to students of CA Frost Elementary.

Adorable kids, lots of fun. Lots of recycling going on. CA Frost is a great school, with a great mission – part of Grand Rapids Public Schools, a shout out for the hometown!

Adventures in Dicoccoville

A family I love dearly, the Dicoccos, have given up a cushy West Michigan life to go live in Africa for (at least) two years. I love them, support them, and love to share their story with others.

Tracey has been a photographic inspiration, a great encourager, and the biggest giver I know (she left her studio lights with me!!!).

You can learn about their story here:

http://dicoccoville.blogspot.com/

This April is a “matching” fund drive for them – every dollar contributed to their project will be matched. So if you read their story….are moved…and want to join me in supporting the, I would be grateful. If not, please just read their story and watch their journey unfold.

simply the best

2008 bridal parties…you have a big hurdle to overcome in being labeled the “best wedding party of all time.” Mike and Katy Borowka won the title for 2008 (and 2007,6,5….you get the picture) yesterday for having one of the most laid back fun weddings. I had a complete and total blast…and got a lot of FUN images….once I get through them, I’ll post a few more here.

For now, what is processed is located at flickr:

Have a wonderful honeymoon, and congratulations!

take stock!

I had my first round of images approved for stock photo sale. Since I only submitted seven images, having three approved was nice. I’ll be uploading more, so spread the word, please…if you know anyone looking for stock photos for design work, marketing campaigns, anything like that, my images are available at photoshelter.com or directly from me!

Time flies

I met Tia (Alicia) when I was about 12….summer/vacation friends, then part of the “family” during college years….we have shared heartbreaks and life’s joys, but over the past couple of years haven’t seen each other a lot. Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting & photographing her second child, Molly, for her one year pictures.

It’s so neat to see Tia the mom…the wife…and still, above all, the friend.

Enjoy your photos, Ti.
