In the past few weeks I’ve noticed my pictures showing up in random places. Ok, some aren’t random, but still exciting for me to see happen!
At first it was the occasional friend’s myspace page….or on the wall of their house….well those make sense.
The organization I work for has rebuilt the website, which is full of my images:
www.comprenew.org
I opened the 2007 Annual Report for Degage Ministries, and there were six of my images on the inside…candid portraits of patrons taken when I was down volunteering one Saturday.
I was told in December that a bridal portrait I took ended up on a random website – offbeatbride.com http://offbeatbride.com/2007/08/floral-hairstyle#comment-4636
My good friend, Clint, had me come out to Titan Equipment and take some shots:
The original set is here:

and the use of it here:

Another random, and I mean random posting, happened when I got an email through flickr that a web service named schmap wanted to use a photo I took in Spain in 2006 at a fantastic restaurant in Toledo, Hierbabuena. Roasted pheasant with a saffron mushroom cream sauce…to die for (and I have since recreated it, it’s phenomenal!).
Anyway, the site is here:

It’s so fun to see my pictures pop up from time to time (when used appropriately and with permission and/or credit given….
I look forward to more opportunities – currently in the works VanBeek’s Custom Wood Products, and more portraits for Degage Ministries!
Keep posted…or I’ll keep posting!
