Wedding shoes – Mine & Yours

There are so many decisions that go into wedding planning. So many. I didn’t realize how many. Decisions, indecisions, changed decisions, rescinded decisions. All different types of decisions.

Some were difficult for me, some difficult for Dan.

Take, for example, our shoe selections for our wedding day. Honestly, as a bride, I think the decision is easier (if the man is buying), simply because there is a good chance you will not wear them after the wedding day. Dan wanted a pair that was stylish and appropriate for the wedding as well as useful afterwards. (Ask him how many times I rolled my eyes and said “just pick one.”)

Me, I wanted pretty & sparkly. I adore the time that I get to take photos of a bride’s shoes. I know that most of the time picking those shoes wasn’t a quick process, and the choice was made very very carefully, and may take some time. My decision was fast.

I have a brand of shoe I love. LOVE. Poetic License. I have a number of their shoes – so unique – so pretty – and so so so me. Totally swoon-worthy. Naturally, I went right to googling their shoes and searched until I found the perfect pair….before I even found my dress.

Shortly thereafter, I also picked up two pairs for my bridesmaids (the girls had to choose, right)? Same brand. Same swoon.

I’m so excited to wear these – in just 20 days – to walk down the aisle in them, and to become Mrs. Miller in them, and then to dance the night away in them. I thought it would be fun to give you a sneak peak, and then share some other lovely shoes from some of our 2012 weddings.

Enjoy!
